Avengers: Infinity War Movies Will Be Retitled
While Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 & Part 2 are perfectly fine titles, it sounds like both installments will be receiving major upgrades before they hit theaters in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
In an interview with Uproxx, the Russo Brothers not only confirmed that the two upcoming Avengers movies are separate stories, but that they’ll have different titles too.
As Joe put it, “The movies are two very different movies,”. “It is misleading,” added Anthony, which
means that a title change is on the way.
“The intention is we will change it, we just haven’t come up with the titles yet. But, yes, we will change it. And, yes, that is a scoop: we will retitle them.”
So what will the new titles be and when will we get them? That’s anyone’s guess at this point, and presumably Marvel wants to keep the focus on Civil War right now rather than jump ahead to 2018 and 2019 when these two movies are slated to open.
Presumably, at least one movie will stick with the title Infinity War, or at least I hope it does. What titles do you think the new Avengers movies should have? Are you cool with ditching the Part 1 and Part 2? Sound off in the comments section.
Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 hits theaters May 4, 2018 and Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2 hits theaters May 3, 2019.
