Watch the First Trailer for Emily Blunt’s ‘The Girl on the Train’

Universal Pictures and DreamWorks have released the first The Girl on the Train trailer online.

The trailer shows Blunt’s Rachel as she becomes swept up in a mystery involving her ex-husband (Justin Theroux)’s missing nanny.

The trailer was backed by a soundtrack of Kanye West’s Heartless. Laura Prepon, Rebecca Ferguson, Edgar Ramirez, Allison Janney and Lisa Kudrow also star.

The Girl on the Train adapted from Paula Hawkins’ best-seller and directed by Tate Taylor, hits theaters on Oct. 7.

In the thriller, Rachel (Blunt), who is devastated by her recent divorce, spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds.
