Sony/Marvel’s Spider-Man Reboot Titled Homecoming

According to Sony’s presentation at CinemaCon 2016, Tom Holland’s solo movie will be called: Spider-Man: Homecoming. Earlier this month this title was rumored dut to a domain name registration, but was confirmed for the first time at the panel.

Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman said the title is "both a high school reference, and a homecoming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe" after the reveal. As for Marvel Studios, they're also on production for Homecoming, president Kevin Feige recently explained in detail that it's a Sony Picture, with Marvel creative assistance, something he intuited during the initial announcement of the landmark character-sharing deal.



Spider-Man: Homecoming will hit theaters July 28, 2017. Spider-Man first debuts in Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016.
